Introduction
The year 2020 marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven. It is also an important year for countries around the world to commemorate this music giant. However, due to the worldwide outbreak of novel Coronavirus at the beginning of this year, many planned musical performances and communication activities had to be postponed or cancelled. Beethoven's voice was covered by people's anxiety and helplessness, and even the restart of musical art activities became a temporary hope. However, a review of Beethoven's artistic career and his music may provide an unexpected source of inspiration and support for the suffering people. This seems to confirm a certain pattern in the transmission of Beethoven's music over the past 200 years. They are always overshadowed by mediocrity in a peaceful social environment, and become the focus of culture in the difficult times faced by human beings. This year, though we cannot honor the composer with pomp and circumstance, Beethoven and the spiritual power of his music deserve a place in the hearts of the masses, and a place to be rekindled. For the moment, let's put aside the stereotype and disdain, and re-examine whether this cultural giant can still influence contemporary life, and make a new evaluation of his spiritual value.
